We weren’t sure at the beginning, like stepping on stage for the first time, not knowing how it will go. But it went wonderfully.
In total, four screening sessions with twenty-one finalist short films from around the world.
Directors from Brazil, France, Aragon, Catalonia… with films that truly moved us.

FRIDAY.
Friday, grand opening.
Accompanied by the mayor of Vall de Cardós Joel Baró, the director and president of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park Marc Garriga and Josep Queró, and the executive director of the Catalan Tourist Board Patrick Torrent.
Opening talk by writer Inés Macpherson.
First short film session.
Community dinner at the agrobotiga La Boiga. Delicious, featuring local products from the Alt Pirineu.
And a spontaneous accordion performance by Josep Colom that lifted everyone’s spirits.

Friday, grand opening.

Saturday morning, a guided route through the most mysterious spots in Vall de Cardós and a drawing workshop to summon the mythological beast we all hold inside.
Saturday afternoon, more short film sessions.
At night, a spectacular concert by Xarim Aresté and an improvised party with DJs Las Duras. Dancing with everything we had.
SATURDAY.

Sunday, expert roundtable with writer Inés Macpherson, historian Xavier Català, and director Ignacio Acconcia. Moderated by visual artist Jesús Rosan.
Final screening session dedicated to Pyrenean mythologies, with a vermouth break. Also known as the time for debate and cinematic gossip, while audience votes were tallied.
Closing with awards ceremony, prize draw, and high spirits.
Lots of photos at the most mythological photocall in the Pyrenees. Radiant sun. Tired but happy faces. A sense that everything had magically fallen into place.
