NÚRIA PRIMS

Núria Prims is an actress of great intensity and sensitivity, capable of crafting characters that endure in memory. Throughout her career, she has played roles as diverse as la Carlana in Incerta Glòria, the mother in Un sol radiant, and the characters in Històries del Kronen and Sica. Her career continues to grow with new projects, such as Forastera, which premieres this September, and her unforgettable participation in El ser querido.

LLUÍS ARES

Lluís Ares has lived surrounded by short films for many years. As the director of Fascurt, Festival de Curtmetratges del Masnou, he has contributed to the growth of an event that has established itself as a qualifying festival for the Premis Goya. A member of the Acadèmia Catalana de Cinema, he works professionally in advertising and in the field of screenwriting and storytelling. He is currently directing 250 g., a short film starring Clara Segura and Miquel Sitjar. We are especially thrilled to welcome him to Tabaca Film Fest at this moment of discovering a new creative facet.

IVAN MASSAGUÉ

Ivan Massagué is a versatile and chameleonic actor, with a unique presence in front of the camera and on stage. He has developed a solid career in film, television, and theater, with works as diverse as El cor de la ciutat, Esmorza amb mi, Benvinguts a la família, and El hoyo. Deeply committed to the country’s cinema, he is the co-director of l’INFCTA, the Festival de Cinema de la Terra Alta, in Bot.

RAMON ALARÓ

Ramon Alaró is an audiovisual technician with extensive professional experience. In 1976, he began as a filmmaker by shooting his first documentary in Super-8, and since then he has continued working, following the evolution of the audiovisual world, from celluloid to video and from video to digital formats in Full HD and 4K. He has worked at various video production companies and for Televisió de Badalona, where he was part of the Filmets Badalona Film Festival team for five editions. He is currently the director of CurtÀneu, the international short film exhibition of les Valls d’Àneu, in Pallars Sobirà.

PEPE CAMPS

Pepe Camps is an artist, photographer, and documentary filmmaker, trained at the Escola d’Art Leandre Cristòfol in Lleida. A resident of Pallars Sobirà since 2001, he has developed a large part of his career around the rural world, the landscape, and the people who inhabit it. He has worked on various audiovisual and documentary projects, and his photographic and video art work has been present in different festivals, fairs, and art spaces. He is currently developing new creative projects linked to the territory.

ANNE-PAULE BÉÏS

Anne-Paule Béïs discovered cinema at a very young age and at fourteen began working as an usher at the Jean Eustache cinema in Pessac. For twenty years, she has lived in a small village in the Pyrenees, where she has developed her professional career around local public policies, ecological, social, and democratic transitions, and citizen participation. She accompanies collective projects and transformation processes of the territories, convinced of the power of stories to generate new perspectives and imagine other ways of inhabiting the world.

MIQUEL DÍAZ

Miquel Díaz Pont is a film director and audiovisual creator. In 2023, he wrote and directed his first short film, Pesudo, which premiered at the Sitges Film Festival and was internationally recognized with several awards. His work also received a special mention at the first edition of the TABACA Film Fest. He is currently part of the team of directors at the prestigious international production company Iconoclast.

CONOR KENNEDY

Conor Kennedy Burke is a filmmaker, theater professional, and storyteller from the west of Ireland. Inspired by the landscapes, language, and traditions of rural Galway, his work explores stories of home, cultural memory, and belonging, bringing folk memory into contemporary storytelling. At the second edition of Tabaca, they took home the Audience Award with the short film Puca.

ANNA SENTINELLA

Anna Sentinella, pedagogue, mother of three children, and mayor of Baix Pallars. The driving force, along with her family, behind the Refugi de Cuberes project, which turned an old forestry house into a life project in the Pallars.

DAVID SARO

David Saro Arroyo, engineer from the UPC, grazing in the Pallars Sobirà, and member 937 of the Associació de Galtaires dels Països Catalans. Suspicious. And, from time to time, he sheds a hake’s tear.

MARTA FARRÉ

Marta Farré, from Casa Girallum de Gerri and currently a resident of Bresca. Medieval historian, bookseller at La Singratalla de Tremp, and linked to Baix Pallars for 28 years, where she has also grown the Celler de Bresca project.
